Writing Disability

The Disability community consists of millions of people world-wide, and hundreds of smaller sub-groups and sub-cultures, all with their own histories. Sometimes, this history can influence certain group's reactions to how they're portrayed in media, and what might seem harmless in a vacuum can be part of a larger issue within the community. Knowing the history of any group you're writing about is important and the disabled community is no exception. Here you'll find some of the resources I've made on the subject.
